As a Matter of Fact solid liquid gas


The most common states of matter are solids, liquids, and gasses. A state of matter is the form that matter can be in. By increasing, or decreasing the temperature matter can change from one state to another.



When matter is in a solid state, the molecules are packed close together. These molecules move slowly or vibrate. For example: lets say we have a wooden block, the wood that the block is made of is composed of small molecules. The molecules being close together make the wood hard.

                                                                                 


When matter is in a liquid state, the molecules are not too close together, and not too far away. These molecules move at a medium speed. Liquid takes the shape of whatever contains it. For example:lets say we have a glass of water, the water or liquid would take the shape of the glass. This water is also composed of small molecules similar to the solid block. However the molecules are farther apart, therefor causing you to be able to pour liquid, and put a straw in liquid.




When matter is in a gas state, the molecules are farther apart. These molecules move faster than the molecules of solid and liquid. for example: air, the air is a gas. The air is also composed of molecules, except they are farther apart, therefor allowing you to easily move in the air.


                                                                                                                                                             

The fourth state of matter can be found in some phones, computers, and TVs. The fourth state of mater gives a iressent glow. The fourth state of matter is Plasma.

Plasma is a gas that is heated to a point where the electrons break of of the core. Therefor leaving many negative charged particles, and positive charged particles. The glowing light of plasma is created when the positive and negative particles reform into molecules.
